JEE Main Session 2 Provisional Answer Key

Prior to the post-exam answer key being published, a provisional answer key version was issued to the public on April 14, 2025, and candidates were permitted to dispute any incorrectness to the answers or questions until April 16.

This is how it worked:

Candidates engaged the process by logging in using their application number and date of birth

• Selected all items/questions they wished to dispute
• Upload supporting documents or details
• Paid a fee of ₹200 for each item/question disputed

All submissions pertaining to the objections were examined by the NTA and subject matter experts. After reviewing it, the NTA published the final solution key, which is now used to calculate scores.

The provisional answer key for JEE Main Session 2, which took place in April 2025, is officially released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates who appeared in the JEE Mains 2025 April could check their recorded responses and compare them with the provisional answers available on the official website of NTA. This is done to give students a beneficial opportunity to file objections, in case of a discrepancy, before the final result is compiled.

The JEE Main Session 2 exams covered both Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2A/2B (B.Arch and B.Planning). The examination was held in multiple shifts across 531 centers in 285 cities in India and 15 cities abroad, ensuring vast accessibility for engineering aspirants.

Procedure To Verify And Dispute The JEE Main Session 2 Answer Key

The challenge window for the answer keys will be available from 11-04-2025 to 13-04-2025 (till 11:50 PM). Students can log in to their respective portals, view their recorded responses, and challenge any answer they thought was wrongly provided after making a payment of a non-refundable ₹200 per question. Payments are to be made through debit/credit cards or net banking and will not be accepted in an offline mode.

The process to raise an objection regarding the answer key:

• Go to https://jeemain.nta.nic.in
• Click on ‘Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key’
• Enter Application No. and Password to log in
• View list of questions with their option IDs, and NTA marked correct answer choices
• Select the alternative answer you believe to be the correct one to raise your challenge
• Put up relevant supporting documents (combine all into one PDF)
• Save your claim, and proceed to make the fee payment for the challenge
• Your challenge will be submitted after payment is completed

If a candidate’s objection holds, the answer key will be modified accordingly and shall have uniform application across all students. However, no communications shall be sent to students regarding the status of their objection, and the improved answer key will be treated as final.

When the answer key is available, what comes next?

The answer keys finalized after consideration of objections are made available by NTA for the conduct of JEE Main 2025 Session 2. This modified deadline will be taken into consideration for the declaration of results.
