Andhra Pradesh NEET UG 2025: Guidelines for PwBD Candidates Released by NTRUHS
Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has issued Guidelines for PwBD Candidates for candidates applying under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category for MBBS and BDS admissions in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2025–26.
This notice follows the latest interim guidelines published by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and outlines the assessment methods, document requirements, and key instructions for PwBD students qualified in NEET UG 2025 who wish to claim state quota seats in Andhra Pradesh.

Overview
In accordance with NMC’s public notice dated 19 July 2025, all PwBD candidates applying under Andhra Pradesh State Quota must follow the newly framed interim assessment guidelines for MBBS and BDS admissions. These are now mandatory and applicable from the 2025–26 academic year.
The notice clarifies that these candidates must upload specific documents during the online application process (schedule to be announced soon) and appear before the designated Medical Board for physical verification. Essential Documents Required
All PwBD candidates must upload the following documents during the counselling registration:
- Valid UDID Card
- Issued by a designated medical authority under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE).
- Candidates who don’t have one must apply via https://swavlambancard.gov.in and choose the nearest Government General Hospital to speed up the process.
- Self-Certified Affidavits (as per Schedule I formats)
- Appendix A: General Self-Certification (Mandatory for all)
- Appendix B-F: Specific affidavits depending on the nature of disability:
- Hearing Impairment
- Locomotor Disability (Upper/Lower Limb)
- Mental Illness, SLD, ASD
- Visual Disability
- Medical Assessment Report – 2025
- Issued by the Medical Board of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Compulsory Physical Verification
In addition to uploading documents online, all PwBD candidates must physically appear before a Medical Board on the dates that will be notified by the university.
The Medical Board will:
- Review all submitted documents.
- Assess the candidate’s functional ability for pursuing the MBBS/BDS curriculum as per NMC guidelines.
- Confirm eligibility for PwBD quota admission.

- Carefully track updates on the official university website to avoid missing deadlines.
- Do not delay applying for your UDID card if you haven’t already. This is a non-negotiable requirement for counselling eligibility.
