    NEET PG 2025 Revised Cutoff: Lowered by 0% for Reserved Category

    NEET PG 2025 Revised Cutoff: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has lowered the minimum qualifying marks that must be scored in the NEET PG 2025 examination. This has increased the number of candidates eligible to participate in the third counseling session of 2025-26. This new cutoff date was declared in an official notice dated January 13, 2026. It was approved by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

    The ranks in NEET-PG 2025 have not been revised from what was published on August 19, 2025. The eligibility is provisional, and verification would be done subsequently through MBBS or FMGE overall marks, Face ID, or biometric verification when the candidate comes for admission, said NBEMS.

    NBEMS further clarified that the aggregate marks of all MBBS professional examinations or FMGE, as submitted in NEET-PG, would be verified from original documents at the time of admission.

    These overall marks will be reflected in scorecards only in case it was used for breaking ties in the NEET-PG 2025 ranking. The board also said that if any information furnished in the application form was wrong. It was utilized for breaking the tie, NEET PG 2025 admission of the candidate will stand canceled.
    Since there is a possibility that some candidates may make use of unfair processes during the exams. For Instance, a candidate shall face action from either NBEMS or the counseling body.
    If any candidate is selected on such unfair grounds, the result or admission of such a candidate will be cancelled.

    MCC Notice: NRI Category Conversion for NEET PG Counselling 2025 (Round 2)

    The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an important notice for NEET PG aspirants who wish to NRI Category Conversion for NEET PG Counselling 2025 round 2 .

    According to the notice, candidates who want their nationality converted must submit the required documents within the specified time window. No submissions before or after this period will be accepted.

    Who Can Apply for NRI Category Conversion for NEET PG Counselling?

    Only those candidates who:

    • Have appeared for NEET PG 2025
    • Are eligible for counselling
    • Are claiming NRI status as per Supreme Court guidelines

    The MCC clearly states that once the category is converted to NRI, the candidate will continue to be treated as NRI for all subsequent rounds. Candidates must also understand that converting to the NRI category means they will not be able to claim Muslim Minority, Jain Minority, or any other special quota.

    The notice also highlights that the Embassy Certificate submitted by the sponsor will be sent for verification to the Ministry of External Affairs or respective High Commission. If the certificate is found fake, the candidate’s allotment will be cancelled and legal action may follow.
