The next step is seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment, which is the last step to confirm admission.

    PG Admission process

First, you must appear for NEET-PG, the national entrance exam conducted annually for MD/MS admissions across India. To be eligible, you must hold an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution and have completed your compulsory internship by the date specified in the counselling schedule. Permanent or provisional medical registration with a State Medical Council is also required.

After the NEET-PG result is declared (usually in August), the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) opens registration for the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. You fill in personal details, preferences for colleges + specialties, and lock your choices. MCC counselling proceeds in multiple rounds (often four) where seats are allotted based on rank, category, and preferences.

For the Kerala state quota seats at GMC Kozhikode, you must also register separately with the Kerala PG Medical Counselling Authority (typically after MCC AIQ registration closes). State quota counselling follows its own schedule — selecting your preferences among government medical colleges in Kerala and allotting seats based on state quota ranks.

Once seats are allotted in a counselling round, you must download the allotment letter, complete document verification, and report to the allotted college before the deadline. This includes payment of fees, submission of original documents (MBBS degree, internship certificate, medical registration, category certificates, etc.), and completing admission formalities.

    UG Admission procedure

Admission to the college requires that scholars meet specific eligibility criteria to secure admission to the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program for aspiring clinical professionals.

The foremost criteria for MBBS is secondary schooling (10+2) with a strong scientific basis, particularly in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Moreover, applicants ought to clear the country-wide Eligibility cum front test for the Undergraduate (NEET-UG) examination, which is held across the country.

The candidate must clear the NEET UG exam. After this, the candidate should participate in the counseling process, and based on the candidate’s merit, a seat will be allotted.

Moreover, the transparency and fairness in the admission method underscore the group’s dedication to providing equal opportunities to all eligible applicants. The next step is seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment, which is the last step to confirm admission.

    PG Admission Procedure

Admission to the Postgraduate (MD/MS) courses at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda is carried out strictly on the basis of NEET-PG scores and the centralized counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the All India Quota and Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) for the State Quota. Candidates must first qualify the NEET-PG examination with the minimum required percentile set by the National Medical Commission.

After qualifying, applicants must register for counselling on the respective portals, upload their documents, and fill in their preferred specialties along with RPGMC Tanda as a choice. Seat allotment is done according to the candidate’s NEET-PG rank, category, quota, and the availability of seats in different MD/MS programs.

Once allotted a seat in any round—Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, or Stray Vacancy—the candidate must report to the college within the given time, carry all original documents, and pay the required fees. Admission is confirmed only after successful document verification and fee submission.

The entire process is transparent, merit-based, and follows government and NMC guidelines, ensuring fair access to postgraduate medical education.
